POTTSBORO, Texas (KTEN) — Streets filled with smoke in Pottsboro Sunday afternoon as fire consumed two homes in the 300 block of Atlantic Street. Officials say the flames broke out on the back deck of one residence around 3:40 p.m. and spread quickly to a neighboring property before firefighters from nine different departments arrived at the scene.
The Grayson County Commissioner’s Court approved a plan Tuesday to get a more accurate count for the 2020 census. County officials said they will count homeless people, jail inmates, and college students toward the census numbers. They said the purpose is to help the county financially, because more people means more money from both the state and federal governments.

Rise Aviation is expected to finance a new 11,000-square-foot facility at the site.The Grayson County Regional Mobility Authority board voted to enter into a professional services agreement that will set the stage for the potential development of a new terminal building.”This is a clean-cut deal for the county,” GCRMA Board Chair Robert Brady said.
